Hey, it's Aaron!
Welcome to Issue No. 15. Every Friday, this hits your inbox. Real talk about what the week looked like, what we are building, and what is coming.
LET’S GOOOOO!
This Week: Fight for it 😤
This week was a busy one. Petra had a modeling photoshoot on Monday. Later that same day we treated ourselves to something we almost never do: McDonald's. It was a fun little break from the routine. Right after that, Petra sat down for a podcast interview with a local radio show, Radio Ognjišče. From there, the rest of the week shifted into a lot of behind-the-scenes work.
I've been putting more energy into short-form content, and I'm launching a new TikTok channel as a space to share more of my ideas and thoughts as they come. It's been really nice having something fresh to build toward this week. Alongside that, I've kept chipping away at behind-the-scenes work on other projects.
We also spent a good chunk of the week on marriage prep. Every time we sit down to go through everything, we realize just how much is still left to plan before the wedding day. It's a lot. Honestly a bit overwhelming at times, but we're staying focused and checking things off the list one at a time.
Later this year we'll be heading back to America, and I can't wait. It'll be my first time seeing my family since Christmas. The older I get, the more I find myself appreciating them, realizing how special and important they really are to my life. I'm really looking forward to that trip.
On a more personal note, I wanted to share a bit of a background story. When I first moved to Dallas, Texas after college, I went through a huge transformation spiritually, physically, and mentally. I started taking my future seriously in a way I hadn't during college. Lately I've been trying to get back to that mindset: listening to podcasts from people I consider real mental-strength leaders, getting back into Audible books, and just working to keep my mind sharp. It's been a great couple of weeks of reconnecting with those roots.
Petra and I are so grateful for what we have, but we also know we have to keep working hard to hold onto it and build toward even more. We have big goals and big dreams, and that's what drives us every day.
One lesson that stood out to us this week: people don't see the hard work, and they'll never fully understand how much you actually do. You just have to keep going without expecting a pat on the back. The older you get, the more you realize that people are never going to fully see your effort or your struggles. Everyone sees the results, but nobody sees the process it took to get there. It's not practical to expect recognition without saying anything about the work behind it. At the end of the day, what other people think doesn't move you closer to success only continuing to show up does.
I hope you have a blessed weekend!

Coffee in Europe is superb 😋

I had this delicious pork file with mashed potatoes!

Petra had a fish called hake. It reminded me so much of catfish, which I ate growing up 🫶

It was great, it tasted very similar to catfish ☺️
