This Week
MOMENTUM… Thankful for Everything 🫶
This week was honestly great. After a rough week last week, it was really nice just to slow down this week and realize everything will work out. I have been pretty anxious over the last two weeks, because of the hijacked Youtube channel. It has been something that I just have to keep moving forward from. It’s a lesson that hurts bad, but will have a greater outcome. We will be back live soon!!
This week like many recently went by really fast. Monday was really great. I filmed content, Petra and I picked up a new brand package (more to come on that), and Petra tried on DRESSES 😍 It was really an amazing and productive day. Monday seems to be my favorite day of the week, because I absolutely love locking in and getting things done. I know it is a bit different than everyone else, but hey I guess it comes with enjoying the work that I do. Also, Monday was burger Monday. This has been something Petra and I have nearly perfected this summer, and it is amazing.
Tuesday was a day where we moved the needle forward in a big way! WE OFFICIALLY locked in the civil wedding. If you know anything about the government side of weddings and anything official in Slovenia it is seriously a challenge. Everything legally is always very specific and it can be quite a grueling process. Tuesday was chicken wing Tuesday! It’s something we have every few weeks, and they are always crispy and delicious.
Wednesday I travelled to Velenje to film with Gorenje. It is an awesome Slovenian company, and it is crucial to so many Slovenians for their work. On the way, I drove by Komenda Castle built in the 12th-13th century by the Knights of Malta (Order of St. John). I also saw Velenje Castle perched high up on the hill over Velenje and it was stunningly beautiful. This castle was built in the 13th century and later rebuilt in the 16th century. It was funny, because I was standing in the parking lot of Lidl (grocery store) and looked up to see the castle lol. Just a funny reminder of how history blends with the modern times. Here I filmed with an amazing team Uroš, Čarna and Kim. Uroš is always so much fun to be around. He knows an impressive amount of American movies and music, and he is high energy, which is always so fun. Čarna is always smiling and keeping everyone in such a good mood. She is so chill, and down to earth and as an actor her calmness just makes everything easier. It was my first time meeting Kim. She was so nice, and had an awesome connection to the US, which make conversation easy. I really enjoyed working with this team!
Castle Komenda
Velenje Castle
Thursday, Petra and I made spaghetti and it was so good! We have actually never had it together lol. We typically don’t eat pastas. In the morning, Petra and I also had a morning workout, which we haven’t done in a while. We have been doing evening workouts over the past month or 2, so it was tough but rewarding to get a morning workout in.
We always eat a delicious breakfast, and for me that honestly satisfies my food craving for the day. Our breakfast is full of delicious fruits (kiwis, peaches, oranges, bananas, figs, blueberries, avocados), and we have eggs almost everyday. We also mix in Yogurt, which I always enjoy.
Let’s talk about mindset. After everything going on recently, I’ve had more time to think about my future, goals, and how to keep fighting and growing despite the circumstances. A quote from my favorite book has been on my mind all week, “Circumstance doesn’t make a man, but reveals him to himself”. Times like this make me realize how I can improve in so many ways. Right now, that is focused on improving business structure, but also being more prepared for situations and what could go wrong. But through everything, I realize what I have and for what I have I am incredibly grateful.
